Recording/Broadcast experience: 

I have pursued recording audio and music since 1991 in my parents' basement after my drum teacher Daniel Eason told me that you could use a pair of headphones as microphones.  This ever-developing skillset has led me to participate in music and recording on a daily basis since that point.  A day has not gone by that I have not done something to further this area of my life and career.  Listed below are various points of interest: 

  • 1998 - Bobby Freeman - MCI Records: Guitarist, Recording engineer.  Recordings Featured on PBS Special "Who Is Bobby Freeman", as well as music for KIA Motors. 

  • 2005 – The Tones: "Cheap As F**K" - Independent Release - Guitar, Vocals, Songwriter, Producer.  The song "Heard It All B4" was released on KROCK Stations through Upstate, NY, The Song "Damsel" was featured in the PAIA Pictured release "That Darn Bear" 

  • 2006 – Present: The Duke Western - Self-recording and releasing for fun, Multiple Tracks Licensed by “The UK Guitar Library”, “Tip town Publishing”, “Song and Film LLC.”.  All licenses have expired at this time. 

  • 2011 - Carolyn Brown Decker - "Through the Mud" - Independent Release - Guitar - Engineer 

  • 2011 - Garrett Knaub - "The Mission" - Independent Release - Mix - Drums -  

  • 2012 – 2017 - NorthwayChurch.tv:  Front of house audio engineer – Capture and Preparation of music and voice for weekly live Broadcast throughout Upstate NY.

  • 2017 - Present Upstate Concert Hall - Onsite Audio Engineer. Averaging 90 Shows per year, All Genres. 

  • 2018 - Present: WAMC - The Linda.  Public Radio Live and Recording engineer.  (Part Time) 

  • 2018 – Construction begins on “Duke Western Studios” on my own property to develop my audio career further. 

 

 

Touring/Live Performance: 

I have pursued music daily since 1987 as an instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter.  This path has led me to participate in all different kinds of projects of varying degrees of success.  Some highlights would include: 

1996 - 2013 - "Toys in the Attic": Nationally Touring Aerosmith Tribute - Bass, Guitar, Backing Vocals - Contiguous 48 United States.   Some highlights would include:

Teaching: 

A natural byproduct of learning a craft, is sharing it with others.  I realized that I enjoy mentoring others in areas where I have deeply explored.  Some highlights would include:

Over 7,800 guitar lessons taught in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
